Simon provides expert consulting services across a range of sectors and issues, including energy, utilities, infrastructure, regulation impact assessments, industry reform, digitalisation and intellectual property, and international trade.

Before joining LECG Asia-Pacific (the forerunner to Sapere), he worked for Arthur Andersen and Mainsheet Corporate. He worked in the public sector for a decade including the NSW Treasury, as well as the New Zealand Treasury and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Simon is a member of several expert panels, given expert testimony, and been published. He has a master’s (honours) in philosophy from the University of Canterbury and has tutored in politics.
